Summer Theatre Arts Camp Set For August 3

Fort Peck Summer Theatre has announced that their performing arts camp is on track to continue as scheduled beginning Aug. 3. As the company proceeds with cautious but optimistic plans for the 2021 season, Fort Peck Fine Arts Council executive director Jennifer Fewer said the annual camp promises to again be a summer highlight.

“As always, the safety and health of each camper and staff will be a priority,” said Fewer.

“Students at the camp are exposed to a comprehensive theatre experience, with an array of classes. In addition to performance focused classes, the professional instructors teach everything from playwriting to technical design. It provides a balance between creative thinking, education and most importantly, teamwork through the arts!”

Megan Wiltshire, a longtime director and company regular, returns for her ninth season and will resume her role as performing arts camp director.

The camp runs August 3–12, culminating in a showcase performance on Thursday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m.
