Lions Club Presents Flags To First-Grade Students

The Wolf Point Lions Club provided a reminder to area first-grade students on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in conjunction with Presidents’ Day.

Representatives of the Lions Club presented flags and materials to each first-grade student at Wolf Point Southside School, Vida and Frontier.

“It’s a project we do here locally,” Wolf Point Lions Club president Dave Fyfe said.

He noted that the club has been involved in the program for at least each of the 30 years that he has been a club member.

“It’s been a long time,” Fyfe said.

The club also provided “Our Flag” booklets to each of the students. The pamphlet provided information for proper care and treatment of the United States flag. Also included was flag facts.
