Lustre Girls Down Dodson In Conference Game

Lustre Christian’s girls outscored Dodson to earn a 48-42 league victory on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The Lions took a 27-21 halftime advantage and held a 40-36 lead after three quarters of action.

Alexa Reddig accounted for 25 of Lustre’s points. Aubri Holzrichter also reached double figures with 10 points.

Rounding out Lustre’s scoring were Tiara Whitmus with seven, Grace Brown with five and Ashley O’Hara with one.

Leading Dodson were Christina Fetter with 21 and Lindsey Kill Eagle with 15 points.

In the boys’ game, Dodson scored a 53-35 victory. The Coyotes jumped out to a 33-17 half-time advantage.

Top scorers for Lustre were Kolden Hoversland with 11, Kaleb Hoversland with nine and Elijah Lenihan with eight. Also scoring were Cayden Klatt with five and Josh Brown with two.

Zarek Jones scored 16 and Kadin Racine added 12 points for Dodson.

Teams now prepare for the district tourney in Malta.
