Invasive Species Found Via Statewide Inspections


Montana watercraft inspection stations have intercepted 13 boats carrying invasive mollusks into the state this year. As of May 30, inspectors have caught 12 boats with invasive zebra or quagga mussels and one boat with red rim melania snails attached to watercraft. The mussel-fouled boats typically come from midwest states or Arizona after having spent several weeks or months in mussel-infested

Bulls, Agland A’s Representing Extreme Northeast Montana This Year In Baseball


Community News Staff Baseball is definitely alive in northeastern Montana this summer. The Post 49 Bulls are the first American Legion team in the Froid area in more than a decade. “I actually started a Babe Ruth team last year,” assistant Bulls’ coach Scott Crain said. “We had a good turnout and the kids wanted to play Legion.
