Larkin Believes Education Is A Calling
Newcomer Sarah Larkin is teaching kindergarten at Wolf Point’s Southside School this year.
She told the Northern Plains Independent that the job feels like a calling. She said a background in Sunday school teaching and child care helped prepare her for a career path in education.
Larkin is from Wichita, Kansas. She received her bachelor degree in elementary education from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. She also studied elementary education at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.
Larkin was recruited for Wolf Point Schools by local nonprofit group Tikkun Olam Ministries.
Her hobbies include playing guitar, reading and babysitting.
