Tori Nygard Earns Athletic Scholarship To Minot State

Recently minted Wolf Point High School graduate Tori Nygard earned an athletic scholarship to the track and field program at Minot State University in North Dakota.

The 18-year-old was a standout discus thrower for WPHS for the three years she was able to compete.

Nygard also played basketball and volleyball for Lady Wolves. She was a standout player on both teams throughout her high school years.

“I’ve worked hard getting good grades in high school and I think that is the most important part of high school, and participating in sports is just an added bonus you get,” Nygard said.

“I choose Minot State not only because of athletics, but because of the academics. I plan to study pre-chiropractic while I am there,” she said.

“I also would like to thank my parents [Brent and Cheri Nygard], siblings, teachers and coaches for always pushing me to be the best person I can be,” Nygard said.
