Forty-Four New COVID-19 Cases Diagnosed Statewide In Past Week

New COVID-19 cases reported in Montana over the past week totaled 44. The count now stands at 523, up 44 from Tuesday, May 26 while North Dakota’s case count increased by 189 to 2,646 in the past week.

At presstime Tuesday, May 26, there were 523 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana. Of those cases, 462 are listed as recovered and active cases are at 44. There have been 67 total hospitalizations, with only one hospitalization listed as active. There was one new deaths this week, with that count now at 17. Most are treating their symptoms at home.

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, a total of 42,212 tests had been completed. Roosevelt County still sits at seven recovered COVID-19 cases.

At presstime, there have been 2,646 cases reported in North Dakota, with 2,127 individuals listed as recovered. In North Dakota, 170 have required hospitalization with 34 currently hospitalized. Deaths reported in North Dakota have risen to 65, up from 54 this time last week. Total tests completed is 73,644 with 70,998 returning negative.

In North Dakota, Williams County has reported 25 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday morning, May 26, which remains unchanged over the past week. Mountrail County has reported 41 cases, which is up two cases over the past week. Ward County has 38 reported cases. Montana moved into phase 2 restrictions June 1. Groups larger than 50 will be allowed if people can social distance themselves. Restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries and casinos can run at 75 percent of capacity. Gyms, indoor fitness classes, pools and hot tubs can operate at 75 percent of capacity. Bowling alleys can operate at decreased capacity with social distancing guidelines.
