Frazer, Poplar Report Election Results

The Frazer and Poplar school districts held elections for open board positions May 7.

Wolf Point’s, Frontier’s and Brockton’s elections were canceled since the number of candidates equaled open board seats.

In Frazer, unofficial results have Landon Olfert winning 64 votes, followed by Darryl Quilty. Michael Redstone received 36; Mary Sue Jacks had 35, Jewel Fourstar had 33 and Dori Talks Different had 28. The top two vote-getters will join the board.

In Poplar, Lori Smoker and Marva Chapman were clear winners, with 185 and 123 votes respectively. Jestin Dupree received 80 votes, followed by Tatum Evenson with 74, Freedom Crawford with 68, Savanah R. Smith with 31 and Kendra Teague with 15.

Results will be canvassed at the next regular school board meetings.
