Performance Set In Culbertson On Friday

Follow young Jim Hawkins and his friends as they sail a dangerous sea of adventure with Long John Silver and his pirate band at the helm this Friday, March 15, when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and over 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic novel Treasure Island.

The local cast features Felixe Becker as Jim Hawkins and Gauge Smith, Jonathan Taberna, Nash Petersen, Aubry Lee, Emlynn Powell, Brailey Bigler, and Harper Struna as the rollicking Pirate crew. Mother is played by Emma Henry. Jim’s sisters are played by Jaclynne Taberna, Ava Henry, Mallory Harling, and Paisley Struna while Luella Petersen, Oliver Becker, and Shianne Byrd are featured as his Ruffian friends. The cuddly Gulls are played by Gabby Lee, Blayden Harms, Franiah Bighorn, Joel Berwick, Norma Petersen, Melodee Harling, Lok Kjerstead, Sadie Swallers, Koen Forbregd, Shontel Buck Elk, David Bryd, Lean Primeau, Lane Rhodes and Florence Petersen and the seacoast Mariners are Kynzie Smith, Rylee Lee, Rhett Berwick, Leddy Anderson, Gavin Fox, Wiley VandenBos, Ark Kjerstead, Logan Primeau, Remington Smith, Josie Rhodes, and Hadley Miller. Baylour Hagadone is a Stranger looking for a lost Treasure Map.

Treasure Island will be presented at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Culbertson Old Armory. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

Treasure Island was originally developed by the Missoula Children’s Theatre in partnership with Northwestern Energy. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Culbertson is presented locally by Culbertson School with support from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation and local community members.
