Area Experiences Record High Temperatures August 15
It was a heat wave as many northeastern Montana communities experienced record highs on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, the high temperature was 101 degrees at the airport in Wolf Point on Aug. 15. The temperature tied the record set in 2003.
The Glasgow airport and Dry Blood Creek each reported high temperatures of 103 degrees for the day. The temperature in Glasgow tied a 1990 mark and the temperature at Dry Blood Creek tied the record set in 2003.
Saco also experienced a high of 103 temperatures. The mark broke the record of 101 degrees set in 1990.
The high temperature of 102 degrees at the Jordan airport broke the record of 100 degrees in 2021.
A reported high temperature of 100 degrees in Poplar tied the record set in 1994.
Medicine Lake’s high temperature of 97 degrees broke the record of 92 degrees set in 2022.
