Wolf Point High School senior Miracle Welch executed her role well for the school’s boys’ basketball team this school year.

Welch served as one of the team’s managers and her duties included filming each of the games.

“When it was an exciting game, it was hard because I wanted to watch the game not control the camera,” Welch said.

The Wolves had plenty of exciting games, but one of the most memorable ones was winning the challenge game in Havre on a last-second shot in order to qualify for the state tournament.

“It showed the boys really put their hearts into it,” Welch said.

Being at the state tournament was a great highlight of a memorable season.

“Going to State with them was pretty cool,” she said.

Welch, who played volleyball for the Lady Wolves, says her favorite class is art.

“I can put whatever I want down on a piece of paper,” she noted.

She likes shading and water color projects. She prefers pop art.

Her favorite instructor is art teacher Vivian Schultz.

“She’s a person I can go to for good advice,” Welch said. “She’s always there.”

She says her mother, Mistyerika Weyrauch, is her role model.

“She has inspired me to look at my future and want to become something,” Welch explained.

Welch plans to attend either Montana State University in Bozeman or the University of Montana and study to become an ultrasound technician.

She is glad that she received her education in Wolf Point.

“Most teachers you can go to for personal stuff and they are there for you,” Welch said of the Wolf Point School District.
