Plentywood Boys Edge Bainville, 45-41

Bainville’s boys fell short in a league battle against Plentywood, 45-41, at home on Friday, Jan. 6.

Plentywood took a 13-12 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 24-16 in the second period.

Down by a 33-25 margin entering the fourth period, the Bulldogs tried to battle back in the final quarter. Leading Bainville’s charge was Chuck Butikofer with nine points in the period.

Top scorers in the game for the Bulldogs were Alex Strickland with 18 and C. Butikofer with 12 points. Also scoring were Ayden Knudsen with seven, Sam Butikofer with two and Cayden Boyd with two points.

Leading Plentywood were Noah Murray with 10, Easton Tommerup with nine and Caydon Trupe with nine points.

The Bulldogs will host Culbertson on Friday, Jan. 13, and travel to Fairview on Saturday, Jan. 14.
