Chamber Requests Help For Additional Cleaning Effort

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is planning an effort to help improve the looks of the community on Thursday, May 12.

Directors hope to clean sweep the west end of town and are asking for area residents to join the cause. The group will meet at 5 p.m. at Agland West.

“Things are looking better,” chamber president Aaron Kurokawa said of the successful clean sweep campaign in the area.

Directors commended the work that Sherman Inn employees and others performed in cleaning the area behind the hotel.

Chamber directors noted how well the After Hours event held at The Tavern went on Friday, April 29. More than 70 people attended. Directors were pleased that there was a good mixture of people who came to the event.

Directors approved paying for a new freezer at the stadium. Cost is $11,000.

A possible After Hours event is helping promote NEMHS’ fundraiser, Bucks for Bras, on Oct. 28.

Currently, the chamber has 66 members.
