Wolf Point Plays Host To Music Festival

By Bill Vander Weele
Wolf Point High School did a fine job in hosting the district music festival on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22.
“It went well,” Wolf Point’s music director Russell Johnson said. “I heard a lot of comments hot the juricators worked well with the students and how it was coordinated well.”
The festival featured nine Class B and Class C schools. Wolf Point hosts the district music festival every four years.
“Our kids did well,” Johnson said. “A good portion of the kids are going to state, and those who aren’t missed it by just a point.”
The state music festival takes place in Billings May 6-7.
Johnson thanks accompanist Sharon Kolstad and for the assistance from Lori Sande.
“I’m grateful for all the help from my choral students. They really stepped up when it was needed,” Johnson said.
