Sprague To Play Collegiate Baseball

The University of Jamestown, N.D. is excited to announce that Wolf Point High School senior Jack Sprague is joining its baseball program.
“I feel he’s a very good kid with the right type of character, the right type of academics and the talent,” Jamestown Coach Tom Hager said.
The coach noted that Sprague’s father was a teammate of his when they both were attending Jamestown.
“We have followed JT’s progress very closely,” Hager said.
The coach said Sprague’s role on the squad will depend on his development. He noted a lot of growth often occurs during a player’s first six to eight months of their freshman year when they can focus on just one sport.
“We’re very excited about his potential,” Hager said. “He’s a good kid and a good fit for our program.”
Jamestown competes in the NAIA and the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Jimmies have won more than 200 games during the last five years.
Jamestown plays about 8-10 games in the fall and about 45-50 games in the spring including trips to Missouri and Tucson, Ariz.
