Runners Place At Fort Peck Event
Runners from the area fared well during the Longest Dam Race event in Fort Peck on Saturday, June 19.
Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers finished first in the 5K with a time of 17:19.15. Right behind was Wolf Point’s Kholby Spotted Wolf in second at 17:27.25 and Wolf Point’s Kaholo Toves in third at 19:56.36. John Wetsit took 12th at 25:21.01, and Kayeiko Villaluz was 15th at 31:03.05.
In the women’s 5K, Scobey’s Mya Green was the winner at 20:58.76. Wolf Point’s Stacey Summers placed 10th at 29:08.08. Kailayla Villaluz was 15th at 33:58.19.
In the men’s 10K, Wolf Point’s Zander Ackerman placed fourth at 45:57.35 and Nick Page was fifth at 45:58.79. Grant Schillinger of Vida took sixth at 45:57.26. Richey’s Matthew Ellerton finished first at 42:30.26.
Peyton Summers ran the mile in 5:20.49 for first place. Spotted Wolf was second at 5:22.09. Caleb Toews of Wolf Point placed 10th at 8:45.02. Ackerman was 14th, Toavs was 15th and Page took 16th.
Culbertson’s Ella Anderson finished third in the women’s mile at 9:48.73. Ashley Anderson of Culbertson placed fourth at 9:50.26, Stacey Summers was fifth at 10:13.51 and Loralei Toews took sixth at 11:33.91. Jun Smith of Wolf Point placed eighth at 12:08.88 and Melissa Kendall was 12th at 14:48.30. Riley Rose Pattison of Glasgow finished first at 8:02.39.
