Wolf Point Girls Defeat Poplar Team

The Wolf Point Yellow Jackets scored a 26-0 home major softball victory over Poplar on Wednesday, June 16.

Wolf Point accounted for six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Having hits in the frame were Hamyanie Campbell, Kylie Rodenberg and Mahala Macdonald.

After Poplar left the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, Wolf Point added seven runs in the bottom of the second. A triple by Jaylee Azure and a two-run double by Sierra Hamilton highlighted the inning.

Wolf Point, who lost be one run in Scobey the previous night, increased its advantage to 19-0 in the third inning. Campbell connected for a two-run double in the frame.

The Yellow Jackets added seven runs in the fourth for the 26-0 final. A triple by Rodenberg knocked home two runners in the fourth.

Macdonald pitched the distance for the victory.
