Southside School Holds Kindergarten Roundup

Southside Elementary School officials aimed to start youngsters off on a good note when a kindergarten roundup took place at the school on Wednesday, May 12.

Southside Principal Sarah Chambers explained that they wanted to get parents and children used to the school’s atmosphere.

Soon-to-be kindergarten students received a free book to prepare them for school as well as a fun certificate. They also had the chance to meet kindergarten teachers.

Parents were able to complete paperwork and pick up school supplies.

Chambers was pleased with the turnout. During the first hour, 23 parents attended the activity.
