Frazer School Honors Jackson Jr., Smoker During Graduation Ceremony


The Frazer School held a commencement ceremony for graduating seniors Friday, May 21. The school graduated two seniors, Myron Joseph Jackson Jr. and Justine May Smoker. The class motto was “One step at a time but always forward.” The class colors were red, black and silver. The class flower was a red rose. Jackson Jr. and Smoker filled class officer positions for the school year. Dejondra Gardipee was class advisor.
The processional was performed by Lanette Smith-Harmash. Title 1 dean of students Shannon Knowlton delivered the welcome address. Superintendent Melanie Blount-Cole served as master of ceremonies.
Gregory Rodriguez delivered eighth grade address. Roger White Jr. performed an honor song. Blount-Cole presented certificates to matriculating eighth graders. The following students were recognized: Audrey Smoker, Kalee Lilley, Baily Beston, Noah Talks Different, Aubrey Todd, Isabella Sanchez, Kalissa Jackson and Takoa Old Person. The eighth grade advisor was Mary Zuchowski Michael Redstone presented the Fort Peck Tribal education awards. Recognition awards and scholarships were presented by dean of students Chante’ Japp. Smoker was named valedictorian and Jackson Jr. was salutatorian.
Martel C. Reum delivered the commencement address, followed by Blount-Cole, who presented the senior diplomas. Jackson Jr. and Smoker presented flowers of appreciation to family members and friends. Jackson Jr. prepared the slide show presentation.
