The Lady Wolves compiled 92 points to grab third-place honors at the District 2B track meet held in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 15. Glasgow topped the field with 170 points followed by Malta with 165 points.

Jewel Olson put in an outstanding effort for Wolf Point’s girls. She finished her day with three individual first-place honors. She also anchored the winning 400-meter relay team and second-place 1600-meter relay squad.

In the 400-meter relay, Olson was behind when she received the baton but took over the lead in the last few meters.

“I was really excited about the relay,” the senior said.

Her winning times were 13.22 seconds in the 100, 27.31 seconds in the 200 and 61.90 in the 400. The 400-meter relay team of Katelyn MacDonald, Kylie Rodenberg, Josie Kolstad and Olson finished with a winning time of 53.41 seconds.

MacDonald, a sophomore, earned first-place honors in the javelin at 114-04. She took third in the shot put at 30-07. She cleared 7-0 for fifth place in the pole vault and finished fifth in the 100 at 14.22 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team featuring Kolstad, Joli Beston, Hamyanie Campbell and Olson finished in second place at 4:33.35.

Campbell finished fourth in the 1600 at 5:58.45 and fourth in the 3200 at 13:46.33.

Rodenberg placed fourth in the long jump with a best of 14-07 and finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 21.14 seconds.

Kolstad finished fourth in the 200 at 29.61 seconds and cleared 4-0 in the high jump.

Beston took sixth in the 3200 at 15:37.85 and sixth in the 800 at 2:57.31.
