Poplar Athletes Place At Meet

Poplar scored 12 points in the girls’ division and nine points in the boys’ division during the Fairfield/Belt Invitational in Great Falls on Saturday, May 1. Jazmin Gorder finished second place in the 3200 with a time of 12:17.22 to lead the Indians.
Jazmyn CarryWater placed sixth in the 1600 at 6:10.04.
In the boys’ division, Tyler Pribbernow earned second in the javelin at 154-08.
Kaelen Smith took fifth in the javelin at 132-08. The senior placed sixth in the 100 at 12.05 seconds.
Kameron Reum finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles at 18.51 seconds.
Other highlights for the Indians include Mitchell Youngman taking eighth in the javelin, Reinita Irizarry taking seventh in the 3200, and Keandra Martell taking eighth in the 300-meter hurdles.
