Candidates File For Poplar School Board

Five individuals have filed for Poplar’s school board election this year.

The candidates include incumbent Debra McGowan. Also filing for the two open three-year terms were Thomas Brown, Paul Firemoon, Hillary Gourneau and Olivia Headdress.

In Wolf Point, Lawrence Hamilton Jr. has filed for the district three position. Elizabeth DeCoteau Lingle filed for a one-year position to complete Janice Wemmer-Kegley’s term.

Deadline to file as a write-in candidate is 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 1.

The school election will take place on May 4.

Filing for the three-year term in Frazer were Michael Redstone and Sonya Smoker. Filing for the one-year term were Michael Cole and Angie Toce.

Incumbent Bill Pew has filed for re-election for Frontier Elementary School.
