Evangeline Vijil

Evangeline Theresa Vijil, aka Terri Redboy, 57, of Farmington, N.M., died Sept. 28, 2026.

She was born Nov. 23, 1968, in Poplar to Lorraine Red Boy and Benjamin Fast Horse. Her parents died early in her life, so she was raised by her grandmother Lela Red Boy, along with her siblings and cousins. At nine years old, she went into foster care and was raised by Donald and Carol Osgood until she graduated. She attended Poplar Public Schools and graduated in 1987 from Poplar High School.

Upon graduation, she went to Clearfield Job Corps in Utah, where she met Arnold Vijil. They married and had five children: Quentin, Lane, Cynthia, Michelle and Angela.

She was a devoted mother and a fiercely proud grandmother. She was a lifelong San Francisco 49er’s fan and loved to watch them play. Her heart belonged to her grandchildren. Her spirit was as strong as her love for those around her and
