Wolves Play Glasgow Tough

Wolf Point’s volleyball team dropped a conference battle at Glasgow by an 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25, final on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Kills by Ma’Kenzie Jackson and Addy Smith pulled the Wolves to 1916 in the first set, but Glasgow gained a 24-17 advantage.

After a kill by Anna Matejovsky cut the gap to 24-18, the Scotties won the last point of the set.

A kill by McKenzie Rodenberg helped Wolf Point take a 17-12 lead in the second set, but Glasgow then earned a 20-19 lead. The net play of Rodenberg tied the score at 20-20.

The Wolves stayed close on a kill by Smith, but Glasgow held on for the 25-23 victory.

In the third set, the Wolves earned a 21-15 lead on kills by Matejovsky and Jackson.

After Glasgow pulled even at 21-21, the Wolves grabbed a 24-22 lead on a kill by Butterfly Lindsay. The Wolves won the set on a kill by Rodenberg.

The score was deadlocked at 12-12 in the fourth set before Glasgow ran off 12 of the next 13 points for a 24-13 lead.

The Wolves will host Fairview on Friday, Sept. 25, and head to Plentywood on Saturday, Sept. 26.
