TEB Approves Pronghorn Antelope Collaring
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular meeting Sept. 14.
The Fort Peck Housing Authority Finance Department was approved for an incentive for longtime employee Venetta Eagle in the amount of $500.
The board approved a contract with Red House Law Firm for Fort Peck Housing legal counsel.
The TTP/IRR Program was approved to present a star quilt and $500 to Carol Azure for 16 years of service to the Fort Peck Tribes.
The Fort Peck Tribal Court was approved to expend $8,510 for architecture and related professional services provided by JGA Architects in connection with phase three of the justice center project.
The Branch of Corrections wasa approved to hire David Grainger Jr. from temporary appointment to permanent appointment.
The board approved the IT director’s recommendation to hire legal panel Baker Hosteler and forensic panel MoxFive.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the Fort Peck Tribes and Roosevelt County was approved to allow Tribal Health’s public nurses to provide sexually transmitted infection testing, treatment and vaccination services to incarcerated tribal members at the Roosevelt County Jail.
The Fish and Game Department was authorized to request that the University of Wyoming reallocate $64,112.88 in remaining unused funds within the UW Sub award to pay allowable costs for the final year of capturing and GPS collaring of pronghorn antelope on the Fort Peck Reservation.
A state of emergency was declared due to an increase in juvenile crime and out of concern for the safety of communities throughout the reservation. A curfew is established for all minors under 18 years of age, effective daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Any juvenile found in violation of this curfew shall be taken into temporary custody pending notification of a parent, guardian, or legal custodian, the completion of appropriate release arrangements and shall enforce the assessment of a mandatory $50 fine.
The board approved offi cial proof of ownership and/or certificate of occupancy for the following buildings and programs are eligible for the 105(l) program: Fort Peck Tribal Health Department Diabetes Program located at 6046 Buffalo Dr., Tribally Sponsored Health Insurance Program (TSHIP) located at 708 2nd Ave W, Tribal Health Housing for providers at six sites including 604 7th Ave S in Wolf Point, 412 Edgar Street in Wolf Point, 1001 3rd Ave N in Wolf Point, 1025 1st Ave N in Wolf Point, 5817 BG 1 Drive in Poplar, Brockton School Based Healthcare Building located at 529 5th St in Brockton, Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP) North (Admin Offices) located at 413-417 13th Ave E in Poplar and HPDP South (Admin Offi ces) located 411 13th Ave E in Poplar.
