Farmers, ranchers and community members gathered Tuesday, Aug. 25, as the Northern Ag Network brought its fourth annual For the Farmers Tour to Culbertson.

The day began at C& B Operations with a live broadcast of “Voices of Montana,” hosted by Tom Schultz. Northern Ag Network broadcasters Colter Brown and Andy Schwab joined the program to discuss issues affecting Montana producers and the state’s agricultural economy.

Local producers, agricultural leaders and community representatives also appeared on the program, offering first-hand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities.

Following the broadcast, Northern Ag Network staff and tour sponsors visited several area farms and ranches. The visits gave local families an opportunity to share their operations while staff presented appreciation gifts recognizing their contributions to Montana agriculture.

The day concluded with a catered dinner and community social at the Stagecoach Bar and Grill. Approximately 100 area residents attended, filling the evening with food, conversation and laughter. Door prizes were drawn at the end of the night.

Culbertson was the final stop on the 2026 For the Farmers Tour. Earlier celebrations were held July 21 in Great Falls and July 23 in Conrad.

The annual tour was created by the Northern Ag Network and Montana agricultural businesses to recognize farmers and ranchers for their contributions to the state’s economy, rural communities and way of life.

Northern Ag Network is a Montana family-owned business that has delivered agricultural news, market information and rural programming across Montana, Wyoming and the western Dakotas for more than 50 years.
