Billings Man Dies In Fergus County Crash
A 31-year-old Billings man died near Christina, north of Lewistown, in a midnight crash Friday, reports the Montana Highway Patrol.
According to a MHP press release, the man who was driving a Ford F-350 pickup, failed to properly turn on a left-hand curve and drove off the right side of the road. He tried to get back on the road, overcorrected and hit a refl ector post as he drove off the left side of the road.
The pickup rolled over before coming to rest on top of a barbed wire fence. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected into a field northwest of the vehicle.
The man was deceased by the time first responders arrived.
Speed is suspected in the crash that occurred at 12:36 p.m. Friday. The road was clear and dry, according to the MHP.
