Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Oce responded to 109 cases between Aug. 17-24.

The calls included the following: Aug. 17

Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice in Poplar’s city limits regarding a report that a male wasn’t leaving a female’s shed. He was arrested by FPTDLJ and taken to tribal jail.

Aug. 18

Deputies responded to Bainville for a report of a suspicious person with backpacks and dogs. Law enforcement couldn’t locate the individual.

Aug. 19

Deputies responded to the Stateline Casino for a report of a male, not on the premises, making threatening phone calls. The business asked a deputy to inform the male that he wasn’t welcome on the property.

Aug. 20 Deputies patrolling in Poplar were asked by FPTDLJ to take a woman, who was sentenced in court into custody and transport her to tribal jail.

Aug. 21

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ and Wolf Point ambulance in Wolf Point tribal housing after a female said her son was hit by a metal object. The mother wanted to report an assault. She said the suspect also fired a gun. The investigation is still pending.

While patrolling Poplar’s city limits, a deputy checked an adult male for a warrant. The male was arrested on authority of a tribal warrant and taken to tribal jail.

Aug. 22

Deputies were dispatched to the Stateline Casino after a report of a suspicious vehicle. Once deputies arrived, the vehicle couldn’t be located.

Aug. 23 Deputies assisted FPTDLJ and criminal investigators after a female said someone shot at her house in Poplar’s city limits. A bullet went through her bedroom. Other individuals also heard the bullets shot. A possible suspect was arrested.

Aug. 24

Deputies and FPTDLJ responded after a female reported that a male was banging on her door in Poplar’s tribal housing. The male was arrested and taken to tribal jail.

Statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, 11; Wolf Point rural, seven; Poplar city limits, 20; Poplar rural, two; Poplar FPHA all other, 13; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, five; Culbertson town, six; Culbertson rural, three; Bainville town, one; Bainville rural, 13; Froid rural, 11; Brockton town, two; Brockton rural, one; Fort Kipp, nine; Stateline Club, two; total, 109.
