Wolf Point Chamber Of Commerce Hosts Luncheon For New Teachers

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture welcomed new Wolf Point and Frontier teachers with a luncheon at Wolf Point High School on Friday, Aug. 14.

The teachers’ mentors along with some business and group leaders were also invited for the meal.

Wolf Point Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perkins explained that the school district and the community have a partnership. He believes school staff members should take an active role in their communities.

“If you want to succeed in a small school become involved and attend activities,” Perkins urged.

He mentioned groups such as the Lions Club, Optimist Club and Elks Lodge for being ways to become active in Wolf Point.

“You will get as much from the community as you put into it,” Perkins said.

The superintendent also asked the new teachers to support local businesses.

Traci West, president of the Wolf Point Chamber, and other Chamber board members assisted at the event.

“We just wanted to welcome teachers to the community,” West said at the luncheon.
