The Roosevelt County Sheri_’s O e responded to 163 calls from Aug. 10-17.
The calls included the following: Aug. 10
An individual was charged after an incident in the county jail on Aug. 6. An inmate was cited for criminal mischief, possession of a dangerous weapon for a prisoner and tampering with evidence. The male inmate damaged a metal faceplate in the jail.
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice in Poplar’s city limits on a report of domestic abuse. A female asked for a ride to get her belongings from a residence. Her boyfriend fled the scene. The female was given a ride to a relative’s house.
Aug. 12
Deputies and FPTDLJ took a call in Poplar. An adult male said he was walking home when he was attacked by an adult female. Law enforcement couldn’t locate the female suspect.
Aug. 14
Deputies and FPTDLJ were called to the hospital in Wolf Point. An adult male reported he was assaulted at a downtown bar. He said he was hit over the head with a bottle and pushed against a wall.
Aug. 15
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Poplar tribal housing for a report of an attempted aggravated assault. An adult male attempted to stab an adult female. The male was arrested on tribal charges.
Aug. 17
Deputies responded to a report of threats. An adult male volunteered a vehicle for a friend to use. The friend then refused to return the vehicle. The male didn’t want to file charges but wanted the vehicle back.
