Salmon Derby Starts Thursday In Fort Peck

The first Fort Peck Tournament Of Kings salmon fishing tournament is set to kick off Thursday, July 30, running through Aug. 1. The event is open to the public.

Day one of the event begins at 2 p.m. with vendor booths and food and beverages for sale at the Fort Peck Marina. Raffles and prizes will be on offer as attendees visit with participating fishermen and sponsors. A calcutta will be emceed by auctioneer Brain Austin at 6:30 p.m.

Day two begins with an opening ceremony Friday at 6:30 a.m. at the marina. Vendor booths will open at 10:30 a.m. and another calcutta will be hosted by Austin at 6:30 p.m.

Day three will open up at 6:15 a.m. with another ceremony. Final scores will be posted at the marina at 6 p.m., with winners announced and prizes awarded.
