Sherman Inn Voted Overall Parade Winner

For the second straight year, judges selected the float by the Sherman Inn as the grand overall winner in the Stampede parade’s contest.

The Fort Peck Fireflies earned first place for best youth club entry. Also placing were the Yellowjackets’ softball, Teletubbie birthday float and 4-H.

The Red Bird Woman Center was the winner for best adult club float.

In the restored vehicle category, the entry by George Liebrand earned top honors. Others placing were Sam Boysun, Nickwall Creek Farms and Sean Boysun.

The Fort Peck Tribal Court’s float took first for best cultural heritage. Spotted Bull placed second and Fort Peck Housing took third place.

In the best commercial float category, 633 Custom Design took first while Fort Peck Community College was second and NEMHS earned third.

The 1926 Ford by the Fowlers claimed first place in the original division. The 1955 GMC pickup by Wade and Laura Krauth placed second. The Fort Peck Tribes’ Fish and Game’s search and rescue boat and truck took third. Pat Eggebrecht’s 1993 Chevy was fourth.
