Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Oce responded to 150 calls from June 29-July 6.

The calls included the following: June 29

Deputies responded to Culbertson’s city limits for a report of theft. An adult male reported that someone stole tools from the back of his pickup. The case remains under investigation.

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice at the Northstar Apartments in Wolf Point for a report of a partner/ family member assault incident. FPTDLJ arrested an adult male.

June 30

Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department and FPTDLJ after a report of a bomb threat at the McDonald’s restaurant in Wolf Point. Law enforcement searched the building and cleared the location.

July 1

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ regarding a report of a juvenile with a gun who was chasing other juveniles in Wolf Point. FPTDLJ cited two juveniles. Deputies and FPTDLJ ocers searched for a gun but couldn’t find the weapon.

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ in the arrest of an adult male on authority of a federal warrant. Silas Drum, 59, was arrested at a Poplar hotel.

July 2

Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police ocers with a male who had passed out. The ambulance was called to the scene. Paul Redstar, 60, was charged with public intoxication.

July 4

Deputies, FPTDLJ, Wolf Point Police Department, Wolf Point Fire Department and ambulances services responded to a vehicle rollover on Fifth Avenue North in Wolf Point. The reporting party said a vehicle hit other vehicles and then went on its top. The Montana Highway Patrol took over the investigation and arrested one person. The ambulance took multiple individuals to the emergency room.

Deputies responded to Bainville where a woman reported that her purse and wallet were stolen.

July 5

Deputies responded to Wolf Point’s tribal housing area where a male was breaking things in the house, including the door. The male came out the door aggressively toward a deputy. The male didn’t responded to verbal commands. A taser was then displayed and he was put in handcu_s. The 16-yearold was arrested for partner/ family member assault.

Statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, 22; Wolf Point rural, 10; Wolf Point FPHA, six; Poplar city limits, 36; Poplar rural, 12; Poplar FPHA all other, 10; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, four; Culbertson town, 13; Culbertson rural, seven; Bainville town, three; Bainville rural, four; Froid town, one; Brockton town, seven; Brockton rural, two; Fort Kipp, 12; total, 150.
