Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 166 calls from May 25-June 1.
The calls included the following: May 25
Deputies responded to Wolf Point city limits for a report of a female yelling near a residence. The female admitted that she was intoxicated. She was told to go back inside her house.
May 26
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and tribal investigators regarding a reported kidnapping in Poplar’s city limits. A caller said a woman was dragged into a camper near the middle school. Law enforcement located the female. The Red Bird Woman Center was notified.
May 28
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ, FBI and the Northeastern Montana Drug Task Force to perform a search at a residence in Wolf Point’s tribal housing. FPTDLJ requested the search warrant. FPTDLJ detained several adult males. The case is still under investigation.
Deputies responded to the Poplar airport addition for a report of an assault. An adult male suspect left the residence. When located, he admitted he was in an argument but denied the assault. An adult female at the residence suffered injuries. Randall Firemoon, 42, was arrested for the tribal charges of partner or family member assault and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
May 31
Deputies responded to a crash involving one vehicle and a cow near Bainville. Ambulance services also responded, but there were no human injuries.
June 1
Deputies assisted the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Poplar fire departments for a fire at an abandoned house in Brockton. The fire started in the entry way of the house. There were no injuries.
