New adult artists had the opportunity to showcase their work during an exhibit at the Roosevelt County Public Library in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 30.

Instructor Cat McIntyre taught the 10 adults during a 15-week period beginning on Jan. 28. Each class lasted two hours.

McIntyre was very pleased with the progress of the students. She explained that only one of the adults performed oil painting prior to the class.

“Their ratio of success is outstanding,” McIntyre said.

In the exhibit, about half of the work were water colors and the other half were oils.

Two grants contributed to the success of the program. The Montana Arts Council paid for the program’s seed money. The Western Bank Legacy Endowment Fund provided additional needed funds. A partnership with the Friends of the Library made the grants possible.
