Preschool Students Take Next Step
There was a feeling of joy in Southside Elementary School’s gym on Wednesday morning as parents and other relatives gathered to witness the preschool graduation celebration.
Southside Principal Brandi Burshia said to audience members, “Although there are small sized, they did a large growth of learning.”
She explained that the young students learned how to share, be kind, solve problems and believe in themselves.
“Every day, you reminded us how exciting learning can be,” Burshia said.
The principal thanked parents and school staff for their dedication.
She asked the Class of 2039 members to keep smiling and being wonderful when they start kindergarten next fall.
“We are proud of each and everyone of you,” she said.
After reciting the Pledge of Alliance, the students sang You’re A Grand Old Flag.
Other songs during the program included Spread A Little Sunshine and Thanks A Lot.
