Roosevelt County Sheri_’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheri’s O_ce responded to 158 calls from May 18-25.

The calls included the following: May 18

Deputies responded to Wolf Point’s tribal housing to place Calvin Corne, 39, under arrest on a Fort Peck tribal extradition warrant.

May 19

While patrolling Wolf Point, a deputy was notified of a domestic abuse call. A family friend said a girlfriend had been assaulted by a male. The male jumped into a vehicle with North Dakota license plates. He was located traveling west on U.S. Highway 2. When deputies followed the vehicle, he stopped and explained what happened. Jacoe Lone Bear, 26, was arrested for partner or family member assault.

May 20

Deputies received a call regarding an assault at the Buckhorn Bar in Poplar. A female said she was assaulted. The bartender said the assault involved two females. The other female was told to leave the business.

May 21

Deputies and the Froid ambulance service responded to Froid’s city limits for a report of a female who fell and couldn’t get back up. She was transported to the hospital.

May 22

While patrolling the Poplar area, a deputy noticed a female with a tribal warrant. Jennifer Jones, 38, was arrested on authority of the warrant.

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with a call regarding a fight at Town Pump in Wolf Point. FPTDLJ arrested Maddie BigLeggins.

May 23

Deputies, FPTDLJ and the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire of a shed near an abandoned duplex on West Blaine Street. Juveniles were seen leaving the area.

May 25

At about 2 a.m., a neighbor reported hearing a gunshot on Fairweather Street in Wolf Point. A male said that another male discharged a gun near a residence but then took o.
