Frazer Honors Students During Graduation
Five students were celebrated during Frazer High School’s graduation ceremony on Friday, May 15.
The class of 2026 consisted of Isabelle Fourstar, Kalee Lilley, Harris McConnell, Cassius Smoker and Cecil Toavs.
During their addresses, valedictorian Fourstar and salutatorian Smoker congratulated classmates on their accomplishments and looked forward to the future.
“Together we have grown and supported each other,” Smoker said.
Guest speaker Miss Frazer Kyrsten Miller said it was a joy and privilege to watch the students grow. She remembers when they graduated from Head Start and other milestones throughout their education.
Miller said there’s a great big world to explore, but life will knock you down sometimes. She urged students that when challenges occur to dust themselves off and keep going.
She added that she was proud of each of the graduates and wished them the best of luck.
Tribal Executive Board member George Blount, representing the Fort Peck Tribes, presented Smoker and Fourstar with a scholarship and gave both high school and eighth grade graduates education incentive awards.
The Jeans Day Scholarships were presented to Fourstar and Smoker. It was announced that Smoker received a $40,000 scholarship from Creative Minds.
Eighth-grade graduates were Bethany Hotomanie, Madison Garfield, Kallen Jones, Cassidy Mail and Nayla Old Person.
