Area residents should be prepared for a fun time when the Wolf Point High School drama department presents Robin Hood this weekend.

Show times are at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Children 6 years or younger will be admitted free of charge.

Director Jacob Boysun said the play attracted him because of its good script. The play features between 18 to 20 actors. Rehearsals have been going well, Boysun said. “It’s the most memorized thing we’ve ever done,” Boysun noted.

He said the students enjoy Robin Hood because of its humor and the sword fights. “There are big roles for almost everyone,” Boysun added.

Cole Boysun plays the title role.

Other leads include Nomi Deserly as Maid Marian, Reilly Rees as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Thomas Moudree as Little John.

Owen Moran has two big roles as King John and Will Scarlet.

Seniors in the play are C. Boysun, Elliauna Ryan and Tavian Bell. Because of the senior trip, they won’t be back until a couple of days before the play.

“They have two days to rehearse,” Jacob Boysun said. “I’m pretending that’s not stressing me out.”

Julianna Garfield is serving as assistant director.

“This is the most prepared we’ve been,” Jacob Boysun said. “The kids are putting in a lot of effort.”
