Vernita Buckles, 83, of Poplar died March 20, 2026, in Billings.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30, at 11 a.m. at the James Black Dog Center in Fort Kipp. Interment will follow at Fort Kipp Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
