Concept To Consumer Course Begins
The Montana Department of Agriculture, in partnership the Montana Food & Agriculture Development Network, is announcing the launch of the new Concept to Consumer Course. Concept to Consumer was created to outline and give direction to Montana business surrounding food industry requirements and regulations, and to create an awareness of business considerations and processing resources and options.
The Concept to Consumer Course is a food product entrepreneur’s guide to navigating the ins and outs of bringing a food product from idea to reality.
The goals of this course are to eliminate questions or false ideas about starting a food business, to outline and give direction regarding food industry requirements and regulations, and to create an awareness of business and processing resources and options.
What was once a course with limited access is now readily available to anyone at any time through the Moodle Platform. This curriculum is brought to you by the Montana Department of Agriculture and the Montana Food & Ag Development Center Network.
“From food product development and shelf-life recommendations to profit margins and marketing channels, the Concept to Consumer curriculum was meticulously designed to take the hassle out of understanding how to start a food business or bring a product to market in Montana,” said Hailey Vine, Food and Ag Development officer at the Montana Department of Agriculture.
