Schindler Enjoys Painting, Drawing
Senior Profile
One of the favorite things to do for Wolf Point High School senior Mackiera Schindler is painting and drawing.
She explains that she likes to create realistic drawings. Her favorite painting involves a skull.
Her talents has led her to earn honors in an art show in Helena for three straight years. As a sophomore, she won first place for color works in the MonDak Heritage Center’s youth art show held in Sidney.
She thanks art teacher Vivian Schultz for telling her about the contests and urging her to enter.
“She wants me to keep doing art and pushes more to graduate,” Schindler said of Schultz. “She’s a very good person.”
Another hobby for Schindler is learning how to apply tattoos. She has done a few little ones on herself and her mother. Subjects include animals and skulls. “I like practicing using colors and shades,” Schindler explained.
She has gone to school in Wolf Point since the seventh grade after first attending Frontier School.
“I like everyone here and the positive activities here,” she said.
After high school, she plans to attend Montana State Billings and major in business.
She hopes to become a tattoo artist for a career.
