City Council Discusses Pond, Fire Department
The Wolf Point City Council held its regular monthly meeting Feb. 17. Noreen Hohman addressed the council during the public comment period, welcoming new Wolf Point Police Chief Anthony Cambridge, who was also in attendance.
Both Hohman and council member Carrie Manning raised the subject of establishing a small pond for fishing and winter recreation somewhere in city limits, citing Ike’s Fishing Pond and Walking Trail in Culbertson and Home Run Pond in Glasgow as examples. Dschaak said that liability concerns put the idea out of reach for Wolf Point.
Dschaak informed the council that Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department Chief Clint Bushman had been placed on administrative leave. Dschaak said that an investigation into irregularities within the department is underway and said that he has notified Roosevelt County officials. Wayne Kegley has been named acting chief.
The next regular meeting is set for March 16 at 7 p.m.
