Bainville Drops Opening Game Against MonDak

The Bainville Bulldogs struggled with cold shooting and lost to MonDak, 51-37, in the first round of the District 2C boys’ basketball tournament.

The Thunder jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter and held a 33-14 half-time advantage.

MonDak held as large as a 22-point lead in the second quarter.

Parker Berwick led Bainville with 13 points. Kaiden Holmes added seven points.

Also scoring were Charles Johnston with six, Rowan Wilson with four, Holden Salivar with three, Evan Anderson with two and Lane Giese with two.

Berwick finished with nine rebounds. Anderson had three assists.

MonDak’s Dilan Wade finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Draygen Buechler added 13 points.
