Brockton’s boys’ basketball team clinched the regular- season championship for District 2C with a 67-32 victory over Froid/Lake on Friday, Feb. 6.

Brockton’s Coach John Nygard believes this is the Warriors’ first conference title since 2004.

The Warriors jumped out to 24-7 lead in the first quarter and held a 45-11 half-time advantage.

Leading Brockton’s attack were Miles Boxer with 17 and Josh Firemoon with 13 points.

Also scoring were Weston Lambert with nine, Colter Nygard with seven, Lahmi Youngman with seven, Tefton Bear with five, Ronnie Blackdog with five and Charlie Firemoon with four points.

Carson Aasheim and Easton Marottek scored eight points each for the Red Hawks.

Also scoring were Eddie Orozco with five, Aaron Orozco with five, Teegan Fossum with two, Kline Fossum with two, Carson Kelm with one and Bryce Murray with one.

Brockton held off Froid/ Lake, 49-41, in conference girls’ basketball action on Friday, Feb. 6.

The Warriors led by a slim 20-19 half-time margin but then tallied 18 points in the third quarter for a 38-28 advantage.

Leading the Warriors were Tamryn Bauer with 27 points and Quintana Young with 10 points.
