Alvarez Charged With Criminal Endangerment
Luis Manuel Alvarez Jr. is facing the felony charge of criminal endangerment and the misdemeanor charge of theft in district court.
According to court documents, the Wolf Point Police Department received a report regarding someone shoplifting a box of wine from Town Pump on Dec. 8, 2025.
Later that evening, police received a report that a white Dodge Ram was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of traffic and had parked at the Wolf Point Liquor Store. A female reported that her vehicle was nearly struck head-on by the vehicle.
When a Wolf Point officer went to Town Pump to obtain additional information, he was told that the male suspect returned to the store and the manager ordered him to leave.
After a Fort Peck tribal officer stopped the Dodge Ram on Eighth Avenue North, the Wolf Point officer traveled to that location. Alvarez, the driver of the vehicle, refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests.
After Alvarez asked what charges he was facing, the officer mentioned the theft at Town Pump. Alvarez replied, “That was hours ago.”
When he was told again of the charges at the county jail, Alvarez reportedly said, “It was just a bag of wine.”
Law enforcement acquired video footage showing a white SUV traveling eastbound on Anaconda Street. Seconds left, the white Dodge Ram traveled westbound in the eastbound lane. The SUV and Ram swerved to opposite sides of the roadway to avoid a collision.
