Principal Matthyser said “Due to time and our focus on instruction, we have made some adjustments to the Christmas program that we had to reschedule several times. We will have a Christmas Concert, led by Mr. Jay. This will be solely focused on band and choir, giving our students an opportunity to show what they have learned in music class thus far. When: Wednesday, Jan. 28. Time: 2 p.m. Where: LGS Gym. We look forward to seeing you there! Everybody’s welcome!” Student awards for the grade school were given today, Jan. 9. The following in Maryke Nell’s Grades 1-2 class were awarded perfect attendance: Corb Nichols, Holt Nichols, Noah Zerbe. Corb Nichols, Holt Nichols, Noah Zerbe, placed on the AB honor roll. Being recognized for the A Honor Roll awards are Easton Forest, Jace Garner, Lake Neufeld, Kash Pancratz and Abe Unrau.
Mr. Edmond announced these awards for his third and fourth graders: A Honor Awards go to Oliver Mullet, Piper Neufeld, Audrey Zerbe, Amelia Olfert and Marlie Reddig for earning straight A’s. AB honor awards were given to Kade Livermore, Markus Nell, Rebekah Miller, and McKennah Bell. Perfect attendance was awarded Amelia Olfert and Markus Nell. Core values awards went to Piper Neufeld and McKenna Bell.
Ligia Earley announced student awards to the fifth and sixth graders as follows: A Honor Roll: Ian Unrau; A-B Honor Roll: Micah Zerbe, Christiaan Nell, Sophia Mullet, Colton Miller, Josua Matthyser and Gavin Pankratz. Perfect attendance was awarded to Christiaan Nell, Ian Unrau and Micah Zerbe. Core values awards went to Colton Miller and Harmonee Utchmann.
LuAnne Mullet’s students in grades 7-8 were awarded the following: A Honor Roll (Straight A’s) to Justin Schiller, Liam Reyneke, Harlo Reddig, Hannah Pancratz, Nancy Schiller and Aubrey Klatt. Placed on the A/B honor roll are: Coleman Hilkemann, Gunner Damboise, Jake Neufeld, TJ Miller and Ava Holzrichter. Core value awards went to Ava Holzrichter and Josef Olfert.
