Brown Likes Being In Basketball Program
Senior Profile
Wolf Point High School senior Stephen Brown likes being part of the school’s boys’ basketball program.
He said he has participated in the program since his sophomore year, but he is receiving more court time this season.
“I’m just a team player. I try to score and pass the ball,” Brown explained.
Highlights for him have included making three-point shots to help the Wolves catch up in games.
He got a bit of a late start in basketball since he didn’t begin playing the game much until his seventh-grade year.
“It helps me calm down and gets my mind off everything,” Brown said of the sport.
His favorite classes are weight training and government. He aims to make his body stronger during weight training.
Brown’s favorite teachers are Abby Traeholt and Lori Sande because they are each really nice.
Brown transferred to Wolf Point from Poplar in the fifth grade. He says his role model is his older brother, Jacob Brown. “He helps and teaches me,” Stephen explained.
After high school, Stephen plans to work on the railroad tracks with a friend.
