Stop Norovirus In Montana This Winter

Norovirus is the leading cause of vomiting and diarrhea in the United States. A total of eight confirmed or suspected norovirus outbreaks have been reported in Montana so far this fall, sickening over 100 people.

Common settings for norovirus outbreaks include schools and daycares as well as health care settings like Assisted Living Facilities and Long Term Care Facilities. The best ways to prevent norovirus transmission include washing hands well with soap and water, cleaning and disinfecting contaminated surfaces, and staying home when sick and for two days after vomiting and diarrhea symptoms stop.
