Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 60 calls from Dec. 15-19.
The calls included the following: Dec. 15
Deputies assisted two Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice officers with a report of an intoxicated male causing problems at his residence in Wolf Point tribal housing. He was advised to go to bed for the night.
Deputies responded to a disturbance/argument call outside of Poplar on BIA Route 85. An adult daughter was causing a disturbance. She is on probation and a protective order was filed against her. Tiona Brown, 22, was arrested in violation of a temporary restraining order and protection order.
Deputies, Wolf Point City police and FPTDLJ responded to Wolf Point’s east tribal housing regarding an adult male causing a disturbance. FPTDLJ placed him under arrest.
Dec. 16
Deputies responded for a crash involving a semi-truck north of Wolf Point on RV Drive. The driver said the vehicle tipped over. He said he didn’t suffer from any injuries but was taken by the ambulance to the hospital.
Dec. 17
Deputies responded to a traffic accident at a roundabout in Poplar. Two vehicles slid into each other.
Deputies received a report from Clear Solutions of Bainville regarding a stolen trailer.
During patrol, a deputy dealt with an adult male and female who were yelling and arguing on the street. The male was carrying a bottle of alcohol. The male was released from the scene, but then he put his hands up as if he wanted to fight. Alex Adams, 26, was arrested for public intoxication, open container of an alcoholic beverage and disorderly conduct.
A female had a friend call that her vehicle was stuck in a ditch near Poplar’s teachers’ housing. She was also cold. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance. On another call, a male’s vehicle was stuck in a ditch in Brockton. He was transported to Wolf Point.
Dec. 18
Deputies received a report of a male causing a disturbance in Poplar. He was removed from the residence.
Deputies received a call from the Poplar hospital regarding a patient wanting to report being assaulted.
Deputies assisted Wolf Point police and ambulance with a female who said her boyfriend tried to beat her up and smother her. FPTDLJ ended up arresting the male for domestic abuse.
